Managers are the torchbearers of Walmart’s values.
Manager Academy brings Walmart’s store managers to the heart of Bentonville for a week of growth. My mission: design a brand that not only reflects Walmart’s culture and heritage, but also excites and connects leaders from coast to coast.
Project Overview
Manager Academy is a 5-day immersive program that empowers Walmart store leaders with new skills and a deeper connection to Walmart’s culture. My mission: design a brand experience that honors Walmart’s legacy and energizes managers from across the country.
The Challenge
The branding needed to reflect Walmart’s history and values, appeal to a diverse group of leaders, and strictly follow brand guidelines while still feeling fresh, playful, and memorable.
My Approach
I started by exploring Walmart’s archives, searching for images and stories that would resonate with participants. I then blended these historical elements with modern design, using official typefaces and colors to ensure brand consistency. The result: a visual identity that bridges Walmart’s past and future.
